Music Muse: The Beatles

This post is being on hold since September 2012. I really want to make a sketch of four of them but I can't trust my own capability until, now. Also, these are three paragraphs that I wrote back then...

"I started to hear several of their songs in 2009. A friend of mine introduced them to me and he might be never knew that from that time I've got my biggest crush to a music band. It was never happened before! It felt like I've jumped to the higher step of music appreciation. I have some favorite songs back then but The Beatles give me another experience. It's been four years and I always hear their songs and slowly became more attached and attached. I can't spent a day without singing one of their songs, I even start to sing eveytime I want to sing!

Recently, I've watched all 8 episodes of The Beatles Anthology. I've appreciated them more because they told us how the songs being made from their own experience. I really wish to have a time machine so I could join the girls that chased them crazily in the street, shouted and cried in their concert, enthusiastically watched their movie in the theater, and of course, stood on the Saville Row to watch their very last concert at the rooftop. I can't help myself when 'Free as A Bird' video clip being played at the last episodes. I cried. Hard. Even when I typing this sentence, my tears want to fall down.

How could I became so emotional? Simply, their songs always could expressed my feelings. With a Little Help From My Friend and Here Comes The Sun can always heal when I feel down. Sgt. Peppers Lonely Heart Club Band and I'm The Walrus make me fall down into an artsy imagination. Black Bird reminds me to keep humble. I will flood up this blog if I continue to appreciate them, haha..."

In conclusion, The Beatles is my muse to be more adventurous and brave to be what I am to be.

Wish List

A new purse, a pair of flat sandals, a shorts, Tin-Tin books bundle, moleskine note, water color kit. Those are some of many things that I want right now, but all of them are kind of item that I have no urge to buy for. It's a wish list that maybe someday when the price is suit and condition is right, I will buy it. Or maybe someone would give it to me! Ha!

Sometimes I have a big will to create my own wish list stuff as long as it is possible. For example, the purse, I always want to make one since I never found a purse that suits my expectation, but I never have time for it so... I keep using my old one even though it has been torn up. I always feel that I live to create something, it's never been pleasing me to buy something that I think I could made. Even though I know there is no time for it. So, when I knew about Project Accessory, it really gave me fresh air. Seeing a dozen of people creating something that they passionate for is breath taking. Rich Sandomeno is my favourite designer! He has his own vision of accessory and his metal work is very clean, functional, and astonish me (especially when he made beetle themed for runway).

But anyway, if you want to buy something, you might need to research the product background and the best offering price for it. It sounds complicated to do a little research, but it won't be that hard anymore when you visit dskon! And... if you want a great deal for things that you want, make sure to try the group buying section! The more people being gathered to buy the same thing, the price will be cheaper :)

Also, when you just need inspiration about fashion, tips and trick to look chick in you style, or maybe want to learn something new, you can check their blog to find out more. Dskon.com is a great site to find all of those inspiration! Also the great thing is, you can reveal the beauty of Indonesian fashion blogger and find out where they inspiration came from.

I wish you a wonderful May! :D

Trapped in Jakarta

I feel bad for people in Jakarta that trapped in flood for several days until now. Some of my friends can't go anywhere and also in crisis of clean water. Unfortunately, my boyfriend's house is located at the most deep area of flood. I feel really bad because nothing that I can do besides giving moral support. I can only pray that no more heavy rains for several days ahead, at least there's a sign that the water height will go down.

Although many civilians say that Jakarta is really terrible in trash management; cityscape; transportation system; and traffic system, it still have a nice place to see. I'm talking about the cultural area that still exist in the middle of big malls and tons of tall buildings.

We visited Pasar Seni Ancol last year. It's really out from our plan to go there, since we want to visit Taman Mini Indonesia Indah at first. But the traffic was really unbearable, so we go to this place instead. Pasar Seni is used to be crowded and lived, many art activities being held and quite a great market for selling art stuffs. Now it left us some shops that still survived and art installations that quite catchy.

Survived shops.

Pile of shoes in front of shoe shop.

Catchy Ants.

Rattan King Kong.

Out Bond Area

Pinwheel and street lamp.

Seashore.

No sand, no play.

This is a view from Lodan Monastery near Ancol. When I passed the front door after had a visit, I noticed this Buddha statue standing everyday to face the traffic. I wish for a better Jakarta...
